Introduction / Role Description
Yahoo! is looking for an experienced training manager focused on the Asia-Pacific region. The Asia Training Manager is a hands-on, individual contributor position responsible for the coordination, development, and presentation of both process and systems training for the Sales Operations and Sales teams.

Regional Training Manager, Asia Pacific Sales Operations

Responsibilities:
  • Develop training curriculum and approach within the Asia-Pacific marketplace for key internal stakeholders within Sales and Sales Operations, focused on operational systems and procedural initiatives;
  • Manage training program and training needs throughout Asia-Pacific, train advertising sales representatives & internal customer service employees on all systems, policies and processes as needed;
  • Assess training needs, design training programs, and deliver to team members as necessary;
    Evaluate the capability, performance and learning requirements of internal customers.
    Measure effectiveness of training and learning;
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions for local stakeholders and key parties within each country;
    Project manage new and existing curriculum to help ensure course development and rollout, including content updates, and course material development and distribution;
  • Provide team members with the information, tools, and resources needed to do their jobs effectively;
    Work with system development team to increase efficiencies as well as to ensure that the user's voice is heard during product development cycles;
  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional team members to develop system & process enhancements to facilitate business growth. Cross-functional teams include Finance, Engineering, Product Management, Legal, Marketing, and US/EU Training teams;
  • Partner with management to provide performance feedback and to assist in development planning for team members;
  • Act as preemptive contact to ensure that Yahoo!'s internal customers receive the highest quality of support service;
  • Act as supplemental “expert” and authority when business issues arise and need to be resolved in absence of primary contact.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years work experience in which included with 5 years+ training experience.

Competencies

  • Customer service or experience in customer facing roles;
  • Strong project management experience;
  • Very strong spoken and written English language skills required. Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean language skills a plus;
  • Experience training on Siebel CRM, Oracle or other enterprise application;
  • Ability to relate technical information to a non-technical audience;
  • Passion for technology and the Internet;
  • Regional and international travel required as necessary;
  • Highly motivated individual with strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Highly skilled in PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Asia-Pacific regional exposure is highly advantageous.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor degree holder in Training or Business Admin or above.

Position based in Hong Kong.
