IT Technical Support (Temporary)

Our Client, an offshore bank, requires an IT Technical Support (Temporary)

Responsibilities:

• Administer the AS400 operations - Daily, monthly and yearly.
• Administer, troubleshoot and maintain Local Area Network (performance, user accounts, security etc).
• Maintain all PC/LAN Operating Systems and latest patches.
• Ensure network security software (IDS / IPS) is always up-to-date.
• Provides user support.
• Support Internet operations and maintain Internet router and Firewall.
• Maintain Intranet and a global dedicated network.
• Maintain printers, scanner, voice-recording machine, LCD projector and other IT equipment.
• Install new PCs and maintain existing PCs.
• Contact and negotiate with vendors for quotations.
• Backup for telex and SWIFT operations.
• Participate in IT projects when required.
• Stand-by duty on non-working days.

Requirements:

• Academic qualifications preferred: Minimum Diploma in Computer Studies. Preferably Bachelor in Computer Science or Telecommunications.
• Key Skills: Certified Network Engineer preferred. Project Management skills needed.
• Typical Experience: 3-5 years Network management and administration including
  security control and anti-virus protection. Experience in handling medium size network project independently. Familiar with common Microsoft software, Internet Access, CISCO network equipment and firewall administration, and Symantec antivirus and anti-spam solutions.
• Necessary Traits: Able to work independently as well as a team-player. Resourceful in solving technical and network problems.
